Please note that rooms have been block booked for SAHISA delegates at the Southern Sun Hotel (Waterfront). As it is likely that the Gala Dinner will be near the city centre, it is recommended that delegates consider booking at the same hotel as the SAHISA/ICP delegates.

If you choose to stay near Herschel School, please note that transport is for your own arrangement.

If you are attending only the SAHISA Conference, please book accommodation on the SAHISA Accommodation page. If you are attending both SAHISA and ICP, please book accommodation on the ICP Registration page.
Please note check-in time is from 14:00 and check-out is no later than 11:00. Please do notify the hotel that you will only check in after the 17:00 close of conference.

Transport

Important: Note that the transfer shuttle will leave the airport at 09:00. Please book flights accordingly.

Delegates arriving outside the scheduled times must make their own travel arrangements to the hotel of their choice. Shuttles will collect delegates and transport directly to Herschel Girls' School. At the end of the day, the shuttles will take delegates to the Southern Sun Waterfront Hotel. The return shuttle to the airport will also leave from the Southern Sun Waterfront Hotel.

Gala Dinner

A gala dinner will be held on 21 September to honour long-serving SAHISA members who are retiring or leaving SAHISA.

Costs

Registration Fee

The registration fee for the SAHISA Day Conference excludes VAT, but includes catering, transport and gala dinner:

  • Early Bird (until 31 May 2017): R1250
  • Regular Registration (until 31 July 2017): R1350
  • Late Registration (until 30 August 2017): R1450
Financial Assistance

If you would like to apply for financial assistance, please contact Jenny Mundell by 30 May 2017.

Once we have confirmation of sponsorship amounts and have all the applications for financial assistance in, we will allocate funds and notify you of amounts received. Please note that money will be allocated, on a sliding scale depending on the school category and size.

Payment Policy

Once your registration form has been received and processed, an invoice with the SAHISA 2017 one day conference banking details will be sent to you for payment. Please note that 14% VAT is included.

  • Please ensure that all bank transfers clearly indicate the INVOICE REFERENCE NUMBER
  • Once payment has been made, kindly email proof of payment to the Conference Finance Department
  • Cancellations made after 15 July will incur a 50% charge
  • Cancellations made after 15 August will incur a 100% charge

The Conference organizing committee for the SAHISA Conference 2017 will endeavour to ensure that your attendance at the conference is as comfortable as is reasonably possible. ISASA, SAHISA, appointed agents or other sub-contractors cannot be held responsible for any loss, damage, or inconvenience (of whatever nature) that might arise.
