The Prep School Curriculum Initiative

The Prep School Curriculum initiative encompasses the development and review of a relevant curriculum for preparatory schools in ISASA Central Region, co-ordinated by teachers and heads of schools.

Termly meetings are held for preparatory school teachers in Mathematics, English, Afrikaans, African Languages, Social Sciences, Natural Sciences, Physical Education, Visual Art and Information Technology. These meetings usually take place at a host school in the ISASA Central Region.

The Standardised Assessment Tasks (SATs) are assessments developed by a group of teachers and written annually by Grade 7 pupils. These assessments are available in Mathematics, English, Afrikaans and Zulu. The results are collated centrally and are available to heads of participating schools to determine their school improvement strategy.
